Featured Artist – Diego Monterrubio

Take a look at this weeks Featured Artist Diego Monterrubio. This is his personal work and images of his infancy and growing up in Mexico during the 70’s & 80’s.

His style is fresh and bold with a graphical quality that draws the observer in to see below the surface.

In the Botas Detail, note the use of complimentary colors that bring in a high level of interest to a seemingly common element such as a boot. In the background of the image is a story, one that is not told outright, however it becomes part of the viewers imagination to figure it out.
