There is plenty of space in the world for everyone’s work.
Meet Featured Artist Marc McKinlay, a mostly self taught artist from the UK, living in New Zealand.
Painting has come in and out of my life over the years. Previously I would create a couple of works a year. Then I gave up art for around 15 years. Recently I have started to explore my painting again with an distinct upturn in my output. I am currently creating a new work every two to three weeks. Most importantly however, I am enjoying the creative process and my change in styles. I may just have fallen in love with art again.
With a renewed focus on the relationship between conforming shape and colour, I have rediscovered my passion.
I suspect this is a fairly common route that many artists are taking, but there is plenty of space in the world for everyone’s work.
