Frida – The Ultimate Female Force
Frida Kahlo represents to me the ultimate female force of expression through art in putting her inner world onto the Canvas and therfore using her art almost like a therapy.
I was inspired to do this painting because I wanted to paint Frida in my own light and how I see her, but in familiar settings, as she also depicted herself similarly in some if her paintings. I wanted to honor her legacy. I like it to paint expressive and let my paint brush flow with impulse. The colors that I used were fun to implement in the whole scene. I paint in oils and specialize in figurative paintings.
